【学科专业】

商学院与经管学部共建有应用经济学一级学科博士学位授权点，建有工商管理学、管理科学与工程两个一级学科硕士学位授权点，并设有工商管理硕士（MBA）和应用心理硕士两大专业学位授权点。其中，工商管理学科是广东省优势重点学科和高水平大学建设计划重点建设学科，软科排名位列全国前20%。学院拥有工商管理、市场营销、人力资源管理、电子商务、供应链管理、大数据管理与应用6个本科专业，其中，工商管理、市场营销和人力资源管理专业是国家级一流本科专业建设点，电子商务专业是省级一流本科专业建设点。

【师资力量】

学院现有教职工107人，其中专任教师82人，国家级人才5人，省级人才4人，省教学名师1人，教授28人，副教授25人。有云山卓越师资带头人1人，云山资深教授1人，云山杰出学者1人，云山青年学者11人，国（境）外教师5人；另有广东外语外贸大学云山工作室首席专家1人、云山讲座教授5人、长期或短期聘用外教近10人，并聘请了多位国内外著名管理学家、经济学家和企业家为客座教授或校外硕士生导师，形成了一支富于创新、勇于实践，知识结构和年龄结构合理的教师队伍，为建设一流商学院奠定了师资基础。

【学术科研】

学院建有1个教育部备案区域与国别研究中心、5个省级重点实验室与基地（广东省哲学社会科学重点实验室、广东省人文社会科学重点研究基地、广东省科研创新团队等）、6个校级人文社会科学重点研究基地和研究团队、1个中外共建合作研究中心（广外-梅西大学可持续发展与企业社会责任研究中心）。近年来，在Production and Operations Management、《管理世界》《管理科学学报》等国内外权威期刊上发表高水平论文200多篇；获得国家级（含重点）、省部级各类项目160多项，出版著作、教材及译著等100多部；被省级及以上政府或领导采纳或批示的咨询报告50多份。

【国际认证与合作】

学院积极推进国际化战略，坚持“依托认证、以评促建，推动国际化特色的内涵式发展与持续改进”发展路径，顺利通过AMBA国际认证、EPAS国际认证和BGA金牌认证，荣获AMBA＆BGA全球商科卓越奖金奖；与澳大利亚昆士兰大学、美国亚利桑那州立大学、英国兰卡斯特大学、法国格列诺布尔商学院、新西兰梅西大学、韩国蔚山大学等近50所国（境）外院校建立了合作关系，在双学位联合培养、交换生、短期游学、科研合作及联合举办学术会议等方面深入推进合作；作为中国高校领衔单位，与欧盟合作的ERASMUS+LMPT项目获评“优秀”等级；加强与港澳高校的联系，持续多年举办教育部内地与港澳大学师生交流计划研修班2项，吸引来自港澳等高校的500余名学生参加；与广交会、粤港澳大湾区（广东）创新创业孵化基地、阿里巴巴国际站、新西兰粤商会等共建国际化实习基地。

【人才培养】

学院十分重视培养学生的“国际化”与“数智化”能力，并将创新精神“内嵌”到人才培养的全过程。学院培育的创新创业团队多次在中国国际大学生创新大赛、挑战杯等国家级和省级比赛中获金奖。学院入选教育部全国首批国家级创新创业教育实践基地建设单位，挂牌全国高校实践育人创新创业基地、广东省大学生创新创业教育示范学校、广东省创新创业教育研究中心、广东省创新创业教育实践基地、广州市创新创业（孵化）示范基地。作为华南地区首所高校与斯坦福大学共建创新创业师资课程中心，学院建有国际丝路创业教育联盟广州基地、广东省跨境电商行业协会创业孵化基地等，正大力推动“一带一路”背景下的全球创业教育事业。

学院毕业生综合素质高，就业竞争能力强，普遍受到用人单位的欢迎，呈现高就业率和高层次就业良好态势。学生就业方向包括外资企业（雀巢、西门子、可口可乐、宝洁、箭牌、渣打银行和四大会计师事务所等）、国有企业（中国移动、中国电信、中国石化、中国邮政和四大国有银行等）、民营企业（百度、阿里巴巴、腾讯、网易、海尔、华为、美的、TCL等）和政府机关（外交部、新华社、海关和纪委、税务、公安等部门）。学院有推免研究生资格，每年均可推荐或接收优秀学生免试攻读硕士学位。平均每年约20%的毕业生入读清华大学、北京大学、复旦大学、香港大学、哥伦比亚大学、悉尼大学、新南威尔士大学、伦敦大学等海内外名校。

【Disciplines】

SoB, in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Management, co-establishes a First-level Doctoral Program in Applied Economics. It also offers two First-level Master’s Degree Programs in Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering, as well as two Professional Master’s Degree Programs, namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Applied Psychology. The Business Administration discipline was approved as a key discipline in Guangdong Province and a key constructed discipline under the High-Level University Construction Plan, ranking among the top 20% nationwide in the ShanghaiRanking. SoB provides six undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, E-commerce, Supply Chain Management, and Big Data Management and Application. Among them, Business Administration, Marketing, and Human Resource Management were approved as the national first-class teaching site for undergraduate programs, and E-commerce was approved as the provincial first-class teaching site for the undergraduate program.

【Faculty】

SoB currently has a faculty of 107 members, among whom 82 are full-time teachers, 5 National Talents, 4 Provincial talents, 1 Provincial Excellent Teachers, 28 professors, 25 associate professors, 1 Yunshan Outstanding Faculty Leader, 1 Yunshan Senior Professor, 1 Yunshan Outstanding Scholar, 11 Yunshan Youth Scholars, and 5 foreign (overseas) teachers. SoB has 1 Chief Expert from Yunshan Studio of GDUFS, 5 Yunshan Chair Professors, and about 10 foreign teachers with long- or short-term contracts. A number of management experts, economists, and entrepreneurs, both at home and abroad, are invited as visiting professors or off-campus master supervisors. SoB strives to build a faculty team with a strong sense of innovation, great courage of practice, and a reasonable structure of education background and age, laying a solid teaching basis for constructing a first-class business school.

【Academic Research】

SoB has 1 regional and national research center registered in the Ministry of Education, 5 provincial-level key laboratories and bases (including Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Laboratory, Guangdong Provincial Key Research Base in Humanities and Social Sciences, and Guangdong Provincial Scientific Research Innovation Team), 6 university-level key research bases and teams for humanities and social sciences, and 1 international cooperative research center (GDUFS-Massey University Sustainable Development and CSR Research Center). In recent years, over 200 high-quality papers have been published in authoritative journals at home and abroad, such as Production and Operations Management, Management World, and Journal of Management Sciences in China. SoB has also secured over 160 projects of various types, including national-level (including key) and provincial-level projects. Additionally, it has published over 100 monographs, textbooks, and translated works, and over 50 consulting reports have been adopted or approved by governments or leaders at the provincial level or above.

【International Accreditation and Cooperation】

SoB promotes the internationalization strategy and adheres to the development path of “relying on accreditation, promoting construction by evaluation, and promoting connotative development and continuous improvement with international characteristics”. SoB has successfully obtained AMBA international accreditation, EPAS international accreditation, and BGA gold accreditation, and won the Gold Award for the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards. To date, SoB has established partnerships with nearly 50 foreign (overseas) colleges and universities, including the University of Queensland (Australia), Arizona State University (the US), Lancaster University (the UK), Grenoble Business School (France), Massey University (New Zealand), and Ulsan University (South Korea). The cooperation covers double-degree programs for undergraduates and postgraduates, faculty and student exchanges, overseas study trips, scientific research, and joint academic conferences. As a leading department of Chinese universities, the ERASMUS+LMPT project, in cooperation with the European Union, was evaluated at the “excellent” level. SoB also strengthens contacts with universities in Hong Kong and Macao, and continues to offer 2 training programs under the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macao University Faculty and Student Exchange Program of the Ministry of Education, attracting more than 500 students from universities in Hong Kong, Macao, and other regions to participate. Last but not least, SoB has cooperation with the Canton Fair, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, Alibaba.com, and the Canton Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand, to jointly build an international practice base.

【Talent Cultivation】

SoB attaches great importance to cultivating students’ “internationalization” and “digitalization” capabilities and embeds the spirit of innovation into the entire process of talent development. The innovative and entrepreneurial teams cultivated by the college have won gold awards in national and provincial competitions such as the China International College Students Innovation Competition and the Challenge Cup. Meanwhile, SoB was selected as one of the first batch of national-level construction units for innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases by the Ministry of Education. It has also been accredited as the National University Practical Base for Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Guangdong Provincial Demonstration College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, Guangdong Provincial Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, Guangdong Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Base, and Guangzhou Municipal Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Incubation) Demonstration Base. As the first university in South China to jointly establish an innovation and entrepreneurship teacher curriculum center with Stanford University, SoB has set up bases, including the Silk-Road Entrepreneurship Education Network Guangzhou Platform and the Entrepreneurship Incubation Base of the Guangdong Cross-Border E-Commerce Industry Association. It is now vigorously promoting global entrepreneurship education against the backdrop of the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

Graduates from SoB are of high comprehensive qualities and strong competitiveness in employment. They are well received by employers, showing a sound momentum featuring a high employment rate and a significant proportion of high-level employment. The graduates are employed in foreign-funded enterprises (including Nestlé, Siemens, Coca-Cola, P&G, Wrigley, Standard Chartered Bank, and the “Big Four” accounting firms), state-owned enterprises (including China Mobile, China Telecom, Sinopec, China Post, and the four major state-owned banks), private enterprises (such as Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, NetEase, Haier, Huawei, Midea, and TCL), and government agencies (such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Xinhua News Agency, the General Administration of Customs, as well as discipline inspection commissions, tax authorities, and public security organs). SoB holds the qualification for recommending outstanding undergraduate students for postgraduate studies without the national postgraduate entrance exam. It is eligible to send and receive excellent students to pursue master’s degrees without taking the entrance exam every year. About 20% of its graduates each year, on average, enroll in prestigious universities at home and abroad, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), Columbia University, The University of Sydney, The University of New South Wales (UNSW), and the University of London.
