On May 29, the 3rd PRIME-SOB Forum “Understanding and Doing Business in India: Using Korean Companies as Examples” was held in Room 302, Faculty Office Building, University Town Campus. The Associate Dean of SoB DING Hao, the foreign faculty and the lecturer Dr. SONG Gabin, the International Supervisor WANG Ying as well as the undergraduates attended the forum. It was hosted by WANG Ying, who commenced by providing an overview of the PRIME-SOB Forum and introducing Dr. SONG Gabin.

In the lecture, Dr. Song introduced her experience in India and explained why this country was interesting. Then she elaborated the motivations to entry India’s market from the population, English-speaking country, relatively low-level wage, local policies and infrastructure, export hub, the potential of Korean Wave and etc. She also provided an overview of FDI from South Korea toward in India as well as the famous Korean firms in India. As to the conclusion, she summarized that considering both India's geopolitical significance and its value as a market, it was projected that the trend of India's growth and Korean companies' expansion into the Indian market would persist.

After the lecture, Dr. Song answered the students’ questions with patience, explaining how Korean companies choose between India and China, illustrating the distinct characteristic of Indians, introducing her reason to study in India as well as the skills to master multiple languages. DING Hao shared his opinions with the students as well and inspired them to think comprehensively. Besides, he also gave Dr. Song a few suggestions in terms of this lecture.

Adhering to the development path of “relying on accreditation, promoting construction by evaluation, and promoting connotative development and continuous improvement with international characteristics”, SoB shall continue the PRIME-SOB forum series, serving as a platform for international collaboration, educational innovation, and cross-cultural exchange between foreign faculty and domestic faculty and students.
